At Cub Scout Day Camp your Scout will do a variety of activities from crafts and skits to nature walks\, even the chance to shoot a bow and arrow or go rock climbing! While there are many camp options for your son or daughter this summer\, one camp stands out Cub Scout Day Camp!\nCub Scout day camps are distinct from other summer camps in that they prepare younger children for overnight camping by building their outdoor skill-sets. While your seven-year-old may not be ready to head out for a week of camping quite yet\, he or she may be prepared to camp with his pack after a few years of Cub Scout day camp. We know your summers are busy (the days of summer breaks are long gone). But if you're looking to fill a gap in your kids' summer schedule or you want more background so you can make an informed decision on summer camps for next year\, make sure day camp is on your list.\n

SUMMARY:Blue and Gold Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our annual celebration of Scouting!Your Scout will be recognized for their years in the program with a special pin and we will have a cake decorating contest. Please wear Class-A to the event. Webelos will be leading the opening and closing ceremonies; the Lions and Tigers will provide a skit.\nFor the cake decorating contest\, we are asking for all families to participate with at least one cake. One cake per Scout is okay too! The categories are 1) Most Patriotic\, 2) Best Cub Scout Design\, and 3) Crowd Favorite (voted on during the event). We will have time to enjoy the cakes during the event. Cakes should be decorated prior to the event (we are not decorating during this event).\nThere is no pot luck dinner this year. We are trying something new to keep the event from going too long and to keep it on our normal day and time.\nA representative from the Flint River Council will provide an update on how Scouting is impacting youth and the community. They will share how you can be a Friend of Scouting by making a donation. Please consider making a financial donation during the event. It costs nearly $500 per Scout per year to run the program\, beyond den and registration fees. Private donations really make a big difference. You can download\, print\, and pre-fill out a donation form HERE and bring it to the event.\n\nPlease consider helping during the event. We need help serving cake\, judging the cake designs\, and setting up beverages. We could also use help setting up tables and cleaning up the lodge at the end of the event.\nSIGN UP HERE.Please be aware the PTC United Methodist Church has their Easter Jam at the same time as our Blue & Gold celebration. Please enter through the second entrance (off Robinson Road - closest to the lodge)\, and make an immediate right into the side parking lot to get to the lower parking lot. Please be mindful of kids running around the lot for the Easter Jam.
