DESCRIPTION:Troop 279 is hanging out at the Fair Grounds!  The Scouts are meeting at 6:30PM at the Fair entrance gate and plan to hangout until 8:30PM. SUMMARY:Kris Kringle Procession
DESCRIPTION:Troop 279 will walk in the Kris Kringle Procession through downtown Frederick with other NCAC District Troops and Packs.\n\n\nThe district is walking in position number 37. The procession gathers on S. Carroll Street with position #1 at the corners of S. Carroll and E. Patrick. I expect our position to be near Carroll Creek Bridge. The procession route is approximately 0.3 miles long and ends at Baker Park. The city closes S. Carroll Street to traffic at approximately 5:30pm. Plan to be at the starting point NLT 6:00pm; procession starts at 6:30pm. \n\n\nScouting uniforms and festive attire are encouraged (lights\, hats\, etc..) however it will be cold so please dress for the weather (hats\, long underwear\, warm socks\, jackets) \n\n\nFor those who have not participated before parking a car near Baker Park makes for an east departure at the conclusion of the events (The city tree lighting occurs after the procession). Locations such as the Court street garage\, side streets to the north of Baker Park\, and Frederick High School(about 0.5 miles from parade end point) would all be options.\n
