One day a year (11/14/26)\, Scouts from all over the council pick up non-perishable food donations from local residents and take those to their local food pantries. A week prior (11/7/26)\, the Scouts drop off bags to the local residents to invite them to take part in this worth-while service project.From the Pack:Bags (and notes to attach to bags explaining the project) will be available for pick up at den/pack meetings prior to 11/1. Your scout is encouraged set a goal of how many bags to distribute and to go out the morning of 11/7 and leave bags on the porches of neighbors (or distribute to residents any way that works for your family!).One week later (11/14/25)\, Scouts are encouraged to dress in uniform and circle back around to their distribution area to collect bags filled with food donations that are left out on porches (wagons are encouraged!) DESCRIPTION:The nature center will be presenting one or two sessions about indoor Animal Adaptations and Habitats program (the same session both times\, just split to accommodate if our group is large).  This program focuses on the birds\, mammals\, reptiles and amphibians that live in Kensington\, and involves animal mounts\, touchable animal artifacts\, and live reptiles and amphibians.  Each session will be 60 minutes. Start time/s will depend on the number of participants\, but plan on arriving at 10:00am.If we split into two groups\, one group can visit the farm center while the other attends the nature center program.
