DESCRIPTION:Join us for a winter snowshoe backpacking trip to the White Pass Nordic Area. We'll rent snowshoes from the Nordic Center (or bring your own) and hike 3-4 miles along the PCT to a frozen lake\, camp overnight\, and return the next day. SUMMARY:Andrew Patraw Eagle Project
DESCRIPTION:My Eagle Scout Service Project focuses on restoring and improving a set of outdoor community benches and the surrounding area that have been worn down by age and weather. The project will include repairing structural damage\, replacing or reinforcing damaged wood\, sanding rough surfaces\, and applying a protective weather-resistant finish to extend the life of the benches.\nIn addition to the bench restoration\, we will also be improving the surrounding landscape by moving and spreading gravel and mulch to make the area cleaner\, safer\, and more welcoming for the community.\nThe goal of this project is to preserve and enhance a space that people regularly use\, creating a safer and more inviting environment while also preventing unnecessary waste by restoring existing structures instead of replacing them. This project will involve planning\, leadership\, and teamwork while coordinating volunteers\, tools\, and materials to complete the work effectively and safely.
