DESCRIPTION:First Aid and Personal Safety\nScouting is Safe-we will be focusing on first aid and personal safety.  We will have a tour of the Cottage Grove fire department and complete the first aid portion the Webelos Walkabout. We will put together individual first aid kits that the scouts will take home and can use as part of their 6 Essentials.\nWe are also working on personal safety activity. This does have some work that needs to be done at home. If you have time to do these things before our meeting\, we can make time to talk about what you learned.\n\nWalk through your home and identify hazardous items. DESCRIPTION:Pack 9601 (chartered by Christ Episcopal Church in Woodbury)\, together with Gopher STEAM Science Guy Colin Kilbane\, is excited to host the first-ever Cub Scout Adventure Day on January 18\, 2026! This event is modeled after a Troop Merit Badge Day\, but designed specifically for Cub Scouts. Scouts from your Pack are invited to join us for any of the available Cub Scout Adventures. Each adventure session is limited to 25 Scouts\, so early registration is highly encouraged. Webelos Adventure: Earth Rocks. Please bring $2-5 as a donation to help cover supply costs. Expect to meet the troop at Woodbury Lutheran Church on Friday at 6 PM.Description:This campout is always the highlight of the year for our Scouts. It is our annual Gaming Campout. This year\, we are adding a hiking element to the campout. this campout will be held at Phillippo Scout Camp in Cannon Falls. Scouts will camp in cabins. We offer board games\, allot time for some video games\, and even include large group games during this weekend. The food is always tasty\, the games are fun\, and the Scouts leave with fond memories each year. This event is open for all Webelos and AoL Scouts. We do ask that at least one registered parent or guardian be present with each attending Cub Scout. There are also fun games for adults to play - so no worries about boredom. :)

SUMMARY:Troop 72 Thanksgiving Feast Campout
DESCRIPTION:Troop 72 is inviting AOL scouts to join them at their annual Thanksgiving Feast campout. Questions can be directed to Scoutmaster Paul Young (paul.young@century.edu). RSVP required.From Scoutmaster Young:We will depart for Andersen around 5:30PM Friday [from Christ Episcopal Church]\, November 13th\, arrive at camp\, move in our cooking gear\, and get set up for the evening.  We will wake up\, make quick breakfasts\, by Patrols\, in the morning and begin cooking at camp for the Feast.  If [AOL] Scouts are there overnight\, we'll have activities for them during the morning.  Else\, guests not staying overnight can begin arriving Saturday at noon to check out how we're cooking and how we operate at Camp.  The meal is scheduled to begin at 2PM and will be served in Shelter 3.  Any Scouts that did not stay overnight on Friday are of course invited (but not required) to stay with us on Saturday night.  We will have a campfire at the OA ring that evening and typically turn in a little early as it's dark and usually chilly that time of year.  Any Scouts staying overnight with us may want to attend our Troop meetings on 10/5\, 10/12\, and 10/19 as we go through our Cold Weather Camp Training series.  Even if Scouts aren't camping with us\, it's great knowledge!  We will pack up and depart Andersen on Sunday at 9AM to return to Woodbury.  (Generally all our weekend Camping Trips are all 5:30-6:00PM Friday through 9AM Sunday)

For those of you who aren't able to join us and can work on this at home\, I've put the requirements below.OUTDOOR ADVENTUREExplain how to keep food safe and the kitchen area sanitary at the campsite. After your campout\, discuss with your patrol what went well and what you would do differently next time.   Include how you followed the Outdoor Code and Leave No Trace Principles for Kids.PHYSICAL FITNESSPlan & Prepare a Balanced Camping MealChoose a meal that includes several food groups.Prepare it using camping gear (e.g.\, camp stove\, pots\, pans).This demonstrates knowledge of healthy eating and camp cooking skills.Examine Fitness & Track ActivityResearch what "physically fit" means and how to incorporate it into daily life.Keep an activity log for 14 consecutive days\, recording each time you are active for 30 minutes or more.Share your log with your patrol or family\, noting what you enjoyed and whether you are meeting the "physically strong" standard.Participate in a 30-Minute Active SessionBe active with your patrol\, a younger den\, or at least one other person.The activity must include both stretching and movement (e.g.\, light exercise\, games\, or a walk).Review Annual Health and Medical RecordWith a parent/guardian\, review your Scouting America Annual Health and Medical Record.Discuss your abilities\, limits\, and how you can safely participate in patrol and pack activities
