This event is modeled after a Troop Merit Badge Day\, but designed specifically for Cub Scouts. Scouts from your Pack are invited to join us for any of the available Cub Scout Adventures. SUMMARY:Troop 72 Thanksgiving Feast Campout
DESCRIPTION:Troop 72 is inviting AOL scouts to join them at their annual Thanksgiving Feast campout. Questions can be directed to Scoutmaster Paul Young (paul.young@century.edu). RSVP required.From Scoutmaster Young:We will depart for Andersen around 5:30PM Friday [from Christ Episcopal Church]\, November 13th\, arrive at camp\, move in our cooking gear\, and get set up for the evening.  We will wake up\, make quick breakfasts\, by Patrols\, in the morning and begin cooking at camp for the Feast.  If [AOL] Scouts are there overnight\, we'll have activities for them during the morning.  Else\, guests not staying overnight can begin arriving Saturday at noon to check out how we're cooking and how we operate at Camp.  The meal is scheduled to begin at 2PM and will be served in Shelter 3.  Any Scouts that did not stay overnight on Friday are of course invited (but not required) to stay with us on Saturday night.  We will have a campfire at the OA ring that evening and typically turn in a little early as it's dark and usually chilly that time of year.  Any Scouts staying overnight with us may want to attend our Troop meetings on 10/5\, 10/12\, and 10/19 as we go through our Cold Weather Camp Training series.  Even if Scouts aren't camping with us\, it's great knowledge!  We will pack up and depart Andersen on Sunday at 9AM to return to Woodbury.  (Generally all our weekend Camping Trips are all 5:30-6:00PM Friday through 9AM Sunday)
