DESCRIPTION:Please read carefully.\nMeet at Barber no later than 4:45p.\nYou MUST be there so the right number of rafts can be rented. The troop pays for the raft rentals for the scouts and leaders. It's part of why we fundraise!!!!\nWe will try to be on the water no later than 5:30p\n\nALL participants must wear life jackets at all times on the water. This means you.\nPlenty of adult supervision on the water is needed. Adult leaders can all ride in rental rafts if needed.\nParents & family members that wish to join us may rent their own raft and float along with the troop.\nA few adults are needed to return drivers to Barber to retrieve cars. The vehicle will have to be dropped at Ann Morrison for this.\nWe will need adults to remain with the Scouts at Ann Morrison while cars are retrieved.\nSquirt guns and other fun items are allowed!\n\nBring your own watercraft if you have one! Inexpensive 'floaties' or tubes are NOT watercraft and will not be allowed. Plan on going in one of the rental rafts. They come complete with life jackets for each rider.\n\nInflatable paddle boards are allowed for only adults with experience.\nThe inflation stations at Barber NO LONGER EXIST. To save some time\, pre-inflate your rafts if you can.\n\nIf you're bringing a solid-hull kayak\, long\, flat-water kayaks are not advised. They're long enough that they tend to catch on obstacles\n

NYLT is a six-day course.  Content is delivered in a troop and patrol outdoor setting with an emphasis on the immediate application of learning in a fun environment.  Interconnecting concepts with work processes are introduced early\, built upon\, and aided by the use of memory aids\, which allows participants to understand and employ leadership skills much faster.  This year's course will be held at Camp Morrison in McCall Idaho. \n\n\nIn order to attend a NYLT course\, a youth must have the following qualifications by the beginning of the course:\n\nMust be a registered member of a Scouting unit.\nMust have a current BSA Health and Medical Record form parts A\, B\, and C.\nMust be at least 13. \nMembers of the Scouts BSA must have achieved the First Class Rank.\nVenturers and Sea Scouts (male and female) must be at least 14\, or 13 and have completed eighth grade\, and fall within the maximum age allowance for their program.\nMust have completed Introduction to Leadership Skills. \n\n

DESCRIPTION:Meet at CPC at 5:30pm Friday (11/21).  We expect to be back around 1pm on Sunday (11/23).  Troop will send a WhatsApp message when we depart the campground.\nThis weekend be going to Osprey Point Yurts near Donnelly\, Idaho.  The troop will be sleeping in Yurts so no tents needed. It will be like the Sawtooth campout. DESCRIPTION:Hello Scouts and Parents-\nWe'll be going to 1000 Springs Resort near Hagerman\, Idaho.  The Troop will be sleeping outside in tents.  This is a cold weather campout so everyone needs to have the proper clothing and gear to stay warm and dry.  \nMeet at CPC by 9:00am on Saturday\, 12/13.  We will depart by 9:30am.  We expect to be back after around 1:30pm on Sunday\, 12/14.  We will send out a message with our estimated arrival time when we depart the resort.  \nWhat to bring in addition to regular gear:\n	" Swim suit & goggles\n	" Towel (or two)\n	" Water shoes for the short walk back to camp. Intro to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST) is the first course in the series of leadership training offered to Boy Scouts. SUMMARY:Camp Sawtooth Campout (Ketchum, ID)
DESCRIPTION:We will be meeting at CPC at 7am on Saturday morning and departing at 7:30am.Scouts need to pack as much of their gear as possible in a backpack that they can wear so that the sleds are available for other equipment.  Scouts will likely be sharing sleds to carry equipment.If scouts need a backpack\, they need to communicate that need to their Patrol Leaders (PLs) and the PLs need to communicate that to the PLC/Senior Patrol.  The Senior Patrol will communicate that to adults and we will try to find a way to get them a backpack.If anyone planning to go to Sawtooth is feeling sick\, they need to stay home.  Do not come on this campout and get others sick.  If people do get sick\, their family will need to come and pick them up.  If someone is sick and can not go to Sawtooth\, they need to communicate that to their PL and the PL needs to communicate that to the PLC/Senior Patrol.Cost per person is $20.00 (for food\, lodging and transportation)Weather will be clear and between 15-45 degrees.Planned activities:We snowshoe into the Presbyterian summer camp north of Sun Valley on Saturday. Upon arrival\, gear is dropped off\, firewood is dug out of the snow\, water is gathered (this year from the creek)\, a trail is dug to the kybo\, and then we set up camp and sleep in the dining hall for the weekend. Other than summer camp\, this camp out allows for the most "together time" of all our yearly camp outs. As such\, it's the time when the older Scouts get to know the younger ones\, in particular any that have recently crossed over. There is always a greater sense of troop cohesiveness after this camp out\, so Scouts participation is highly valued.Scouts and Adults will have hours to be outside with the Scouts\, play card and board games\, study and practice Scout knowledge\, meet with the Scoutmaster and patrol leaders for rank advancement conferences\, sit and read\, lounge in front of the Huge fireplace\, drink hot chocolate (coffee for the adults).Outdoor activities include building snow forts for snowball wars and snow caves\, 'fire starting in the snow\, sled races with injured scouts\, and other competitions both days.Food is provided by the Troop\, and Cooking is done on the professional stoves / ovens in the kitchen by the adults\, so we eat well\, usually lasagna and salads for dinner\, pancakes for breakfast\, maybe tacos again for Sunday dinner and breakfast burritos on Sunday. Adults will be cooking the meals.

DESCRIPTION:Conservation Project\nSaturday\, October 11th\, from 10am-1pm.  We will meet at CPC at 9am and carpool to the site.  Mr. Swan\, Mr. Tejpal\, and Mr. Van der Veen will be attending.\nScouts working on the Life rank have an opportunity to assist with planting alongside a newly installed trail called 'Sideshow'.  \nPlease Note:\n1) The number of plantings and space is limited\, so Scouts who need Conservation hours for rank advancement should prioritize making it to this conservation effort.  If there is space for Scouts who do not need conservation hours\, we will send out a follow up invitation to participate.\n2) In order to avoid overcrowding on the road\, we have agreed with the organizers to meet at CPC and then carpool to the location.  We park along Sunset Peak Road and walk cross country to the trail.  There is no water or restroom at the location\, so please plan accordingly. \n3) Wear clothes and boots appropriate for yard work and the weather.
