SUMMARY:Cub Scout Resident Camp
DESCRIPTION:Pack 232 will be attending summer resident (sleepover) camp at Rotary Scout Reservation. The Pack will be camping during session 1 - July 27-30\, 2025.  Summer camp is an exciting and exhausting four days and three nights.  Scouts get to participate in a lot of awesome activities\, including:\n"	Aquatics: swimming and boating\n"	Shooting Sports: archery\, slingshots and BBs\n"	Crafts\n"	Nature Hikes and Environmental Science\n"	STEM\n"	Sports and Games\n"	First Aid\n"	Scout Skills\n"	Fishing\n"	Bouldering\n"	Drinking Slush Puppies (probably their favorite activity)\n"	Campfire Skits and Songs\n"	More Slush Puppies\nAll meals are provided by the RSR dining hall.  Food allergies and sensitivities are taken seriously and are accommodated for.  The Trading Post is open for all of those camp necessities (shirts\, cups\, snacks\, etc.).  The pack will camp as a unit at one of the many RSR campsites.  We will be using their platform tents and cots. SUMMARY:Monster Mashoree
DESCRIPTION:Once every 2 years the Twin Rivers Council organizes a council camporee.  This year's theme is Monster Mash  hence Monster Mashoree.  The Mashoree will be held 10/10-10/12 at the Schaghticoke Fairgrounds.  This event will pull in scouts from across the region and is a massive event that you don't want to miss.  Activities will include; Drone Show\, Archery\, BB gun shooting\, Slingshots\, Trade-O-Ree (think scout store but way bigger)\, Costume Contest\, Face Painting\, Magic the Gathering Tournament (for the Cubs too)\, RC Race Cards\, Lego Pinewood Derby\, Reptile Show\, Planetarium\, Video Game Trailer\, Bounce Houses\, Climbing Wall\, NOVA Award Activities\, Live Band\, Movie\, and more.  There will not be enough time to experience it all!\nThe Pack will be organizing a cohort to attend this event.  We will be camping Friday & Saturday night.  The event registration is $55 per youth and  $45 per adult.  Registration includes admission\, an event patch\, a deck of Monster Mashoree Playing Cards\, and all meals & coffee (Saturday night dinner will be Chicken BBQ).  The Pack will be organizing food for Saturday breakfast\, lunch\, and Sunday breakfast.  There is a Saturday only day option available for $50 per youth  and $40 per adult.  **This registration price includes the event registration and additional food not provided by the event.**\n\nScouts will need a parent/guardian to attend with them.  Limited camping supplies are available to borrow  let me know if you need something.  \n\nWe will be registering for this event as a Pack.  Regular price registration closes on 9/30. DESCRIPTION:Pack 232 will be participating in Cub Yukon. This Twin Rivers Council event focuses on winter outdoor activities. Please dress for the weather\, plan to be outside for much of the day\, and bring some snacks! The registration cost is $5 per scout and adult. Coffee\, Hot Cocoa\, and Ramen are included.Cub Yukon is a winter fun day for dens or families to enjoy activities in winter weather. This year (weather dependent)\, the Cub Scouts will use snow shoes\, the nerf shooting range\, build fires and make smores\, participate in scout games\, and build winter-themed legos.  The Cub Yukon opens at 11:00 AM. Cub Scout leaders can plan to park at the nearest parking lot\, as Troops will be asked to park in a farther parking lot. While hot chocolate and ramen is available in Waldman Lodge\, Cub Scouts should bring their own lunches\, bring extra water\, and be dressed in snow gear with hats\, gloves\, boots and snow pants.Please RSVP in Scout Book and register on the Twin Rivers Council website. DESCRIPTION:Please RSVP in Scoutbook by 12/5!\nWe are kicking-off the annual Stuff-A-Stocking service project! Our troop is providing filled Christmas stockings for children at the Troy Boys and Girls Club. Please donate stocking stuffers for this event. Scouts are welcome to ask friends and neighbors to provide items\, also.  \nBackground: The Capital Area Boys and Girls Club holds annual holiday parties at their main center locations in Troy\, Albany\, and Schenectady for the kids enrolled in their after-school program. The three centers serve almost 4\,000 kids in need. Their holiday parties are festive and exciting with a ton of happy kids! The stockings that we donate will be matched with a child and hung from the walls of the gym. Santa will read a story to all the kids and then he will send them into the gym to find their stocking. They have a wonderful time running through the gym trying to find their very own stocking! For many kids\, this will be the only present they receive. The holiday party and stocking gifts are a 50-year tradition for the Boys and Girls Club. Troop 1075 provided 120 stockings last year\, and Mr. Kemp has challenged us to provide 150 stockings this year!\nOur Task: Our task is to present the Boys and Girls Club with 150 full stockings. Please bring in donated stocking stuffers the night of the meeting. \nDate: The troop meeting on Wednesday\, December 10. DESCRIPTION:Please join Pack 232 at our Spring Campout!  We will be camping at Thompson's Lake Campground.  The whole Pack is invited to attend this campout.  Join us for camping\, Scout crafts & skills\, cooking\, games\, canoeing\, hiking\, and a campfire program.  We will be camping next to Troop 75. Our goal is to provide the Scouts and their families with an easy camping experience.  This event is the perfect opportunity for any non-campers.  While we encourage everyone to spend one or two nights.  If you are not a camper\, please consider coming up for the day on Saturday to join in on the fun. The cost to attend is $15 for campers and $10 for day attendees. SUMMARY:Memorial Day Parade
DESCRIPTION:We will be meeting and lining up for the parade at the corner of Herber Ave and Glendale Ave in Delmar around 10:30. Step off for the parade begins at 11AM.  Parking can become an issue as the police will close roads near the parade route.  Please give yourself enough time to park and walk to the meeting location.   Class A uniforms are required.  Parents and siblings are welcome to join us but we ask that they wear Class B pack shirt - or a navy blue shirt - if they do not have a Class A uniform shirt.The parade will follow the normal route and end at the Veterans Memorial Park on Delaware Ave.  If you are not walking with your scout in the parade you must sign-in your scout and provide me with a contact number and the adult(s) authorized for pick-up.  Scouts must stay with myself or a Den Leader until the parent/ authorized adult has returned.  I will wait with any scouts awaiting pick-up at the end of the parade on the NORTH side of the Veterans Memorial Park next to the Rail Trail.  We have traditionally handed out candy during the parade route but REMEMBER a SCOUT IS CLEAN\, Please inform you scouts to HAND OUT candy do not throw it\, the Town does not want to be responsible for litter pick-up. If you are planning to walk please consider bringing a small trash bag to help pick-up other people litter as we proceed on the parade route.  Please check the forecast and prepare your scouts for the walk with appropriate footwear and a water bottle.
