DESCRIPTION:1.       For this campout\, the Troop is heading to the Northern Shenandoah Valley in search of fun and (hopefully) snow.  Scouts will sleep in lean-to shelters and work as a patrol to maintain a fire overnight to keep their shelter warm.  If conditions allow\, Scouts will be able to complete the snow requirement for the Camping Merit Badge.  Activities for this event are planned and executed at the patrol level.1.1. Cost: $25 per Scout or adult (covers Saturday lunch\, dinner\, dessert\, Sunday breakfast\, and the campsite).1.2. Registration closes: 29 JAN.1.3. DESCRIPTION:1.       This year\, most of our Scouts voted to attend summer camp at Resica Falls in the Poconos.  Resica Falls Scout Reservation provides a stunning and scenic environment\, along with a wide range of aquatic and wilderness activities\, including lake events\, river trips\, and natural swimming holes.  The reservation emphasizes skill-building and rank advancement\, supported by a dedicated and knowledgeable staff.  Additionally\, it offers unique programs\, including Cowboy Action shooting\, ATV riding\, a C.O.P.E. (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) course\, and canoe trips on the Delaware River.  The result is a genuine\, adventurous outdoor experience supported by excellent facilities\, including a new air-conditioned dining hall.1.1. Registration is open now by signing up at Troop meetings or by contacting the Scoutmaster by text or email.1.2. Cost.  Early-bird pricing is $635 per Scout if the $50 deposit is paid by 29 JAN.  Regular pricing is $655 per Scout and $270 per adult.  Participants must pay an additional $150 by 26 MAR to register for merit badges when they first become available.  Full payment is due by 7 MAY.1.3. DESCRIPTION:The 2026 E9 Conclave will be held the weekend of April 24-26 at Camp T. Brady Saunders in Maindens\, VA and is expected to be attended by nearly 1000 Arrowmen from across Virginia.  Conclave is the premier event for both youth and adults and one of the highlights of the OA year! Conclave is a full weekend of activities and experiences designed to take Scouting to the next level for your child. The 2026 Conclave will be an action-packed and fulfilling event\, just like it has been for more than fifty years.  During the Conclave weekend\, Arrowmen will experience specialized leadership training\, learn more about the Order of the Arrow\, have the opportunity to participate in friendly competitions\, and have a lot of fun!  This year\, Conclave participants will also have the opportunity to participate in a unique service project benefiting the local community. At the end of the day\, one team will be recognized as the Troop 481 Master Chefs.  Family members are encouraged to join us throughout the day to sample the meals prepared by our Scouts.
